Final Video 'The only exception'
Here is the link to the final music video of 'The only exception': https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B109_6sKs3MPZWVlMWYyZWUtMjQ2ZC00NTdmLTlmMDYtNWE0Yjg4MzQ3YjQ0&sort=name&layout=list&num=50 What make this video be a conventions of real medai product in my opinon I will say that the editing process on the video. Where every transitation wasn't too obvious that it reduce the pleasure of the viewer. Further more some of the film techniques that we used are commonly use in most of the music videos. Such as the timelapse, walking towards the camera while lip singing, out of focus and in focus again to emphasis the character. Our musci video project is really a big challange for everyone in the team because everyone is a beginner at this. So I was quite please with our final video. It produce quite a promissing quality even though it might not be perfect like the real media products but I know that it can be develop through time. The narrative that we create for the video and all the actors I believe it is quite suitable for the target audience and fit around well with the music genre itself. Give the rating from 1-10 I will say that the promotional pack which included the digipak, advert, and the music video, they are coherent with each other very well. In terms of the colour used on the digipak to the advert, and cover image that reflecting the meaning of the album title, the connection between the music video to the inside of the digipak where the child like drawing appear in both. I believe it will catch the attention of the audience with it's misterious looking cover. If you compare the quality of it with the real promotional pack the graphic use on the cover might not be a fantastic work but the whole idea and the lay out are very attractive. Therefore, I will say that this promotional packge are coherent with each other very well and it should draw the young audience to try the package as well.
Final cut work processes
We editing our video using Final cut Pro Programme. After we finish with all the filming next thing we do was to capture the video into the Mac. We simply have to... 1. Connect the camera to the computer using Fire wire cable. 2. Then turn on the camera and set to VCR or playback. 3. After that open up the Final cut programme go to Menu-easy set up- set to PAL format which is an European format. 4. Scratch disk - which is the folder on the computer taht your footage will be store in. 5. Save your work in the folder that you create in the window system. In our grounp we have to render some of our footage as well because we've been using a different kind of camera and the file format are different. The pictures down here showing the process while we render the files.
After we finish with the editing we have to save the project and export it in a particular format video which is the Mpeg4 for Video. Down here is the hand out that help us through the precess of exporting the video.

Rejected footage
After the feedback I manage to get all the footage that were rejected down here on the link. 1 https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B109_6sKs3MPOGNkYzk2ODUtN2MxYy00Y2VkLWE1YzctNjU1OTUyYzkxYmM4&sort=name&layout=list&num=50 2 https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B109_6sKs3MPYTk4MGI3NzYtZGVlOC00ZDBlLWJmNTUtNDAyOGVjOGZhOGE3&sort=name&layout=list&num=50 3 https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B109_6sKs3MPNTFjNTI2YzctNDRhYS00NjEyLWEyZjgtY2ZlZjdhOTY4ZDBh&sort=name&layout=list&num=50
The picture below is in one of the scenes at the end of the video where we found a slight error on it. At the right down corner the clapperboard was half appear on the screen so we fix it to make it gone. We shorten the frame length which it automaticly cut out the minues of which the clapperboard appears.
First editing for Music video and its feedback

But because there are some problems that accur while I do the register to it site so I have to change to somethink else. This time it is easier and quicker becasue it's through facebook. Even though I quite dissapointed that I wouldn't be able to get a feedback from a various group but all the feeback that I receive through facebook are very valuble which help me and the team developing our music video. The first feedback that I get from my friend which is happen while we were chatting through facebook and she saw the video that I post up. She mention a couple of mistake on the video which I didn't notice before. One is at the chorus during time lapse where the actor's face wasn't quite still enough and at the last chorus where her lip singing are out of the rhythm. Another comment which is quite similar to this one is down below. I copy her comment from facebook and paste it down here...

First we will have our character standing in the place for the scene really still for the approximate time of 5-6 mins. After that we capture it into the computer and in the Final cut programme we speed up the duration of that shooting up. The result is you will have people walking so fast while the character standing still... https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B109_6sKs3MPZmRmM2RlZjUtMjc1MS00ZDAxLThiMmYtNjI4Y2FiYWYwOWYx&sort=name&layout=list&num=50 Link to the stop motion stop: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B109_6sKs3MPODM0ODUzYTUtMTVkZC00MDBmLWFkM2EtYjM5N2Q1OTYxOTFm&sort=name&layout=list&num=50
